~ PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE ART LESSONS ~
Private & Semi-Private Art Lessons
• Type of class: private & semi-private art lessons
• Description: Artist and educator, Laurie Brenden offers private and semi-private art lessons in addition to her group classes each quarter. A private lesson is for one student. Semi-private lessons are for two students; the students can be siblings, family members, friends, etc. These lessons are available by appointment only and spaces are limited! Please contact her directly for more information or to sign up for private art lessons.

ADVENTURES IN WRITING: FAERIE TALES
• Type of class: writing - folk lore /art class
• Description: This new writing course is the first of a series, which combines art and creative writing. Students will study nontraditional faerie tales, and then write and illustrate their
very own fabulous tale. Each student can write and illustrate their work in a traditional manner or in a comic book format. The instructor has a M.Ed. in gifted studies and
specializes in small group instruction. Skill level, beginner/ intermediate: no prior experience required.
• Ages: 8 - 12 years old
• Dates: 9/21 – 11/9
• Day & Time: Mondays from 4:00 to 5:30 pm
• Class fee: $95.00 (includes supplies)
KIDS CAN DO: PASTELS
• Type of class: pastel/mixed-media
• Description: Do you like color and expressing yourself? Make bold, expressive works using pastels, and other media. This class is not only vivid and fun, but very messy. Skill level, basic: no prior experience needed. Small group instruction and includes all supplies. Please bring an apron or smock. For more information, please contact the instructor.

• Description: Learn how to draw awesome dragons! Dragons will be the focus of this class, though other fantasy creatures may be discussed if time allows. Students attending this
class are required to own at least one dragon/fantasy book and bring it to class each week. Skill level, intermediate: students need prior drawing experience. Small group instruction. All supplies are included. For more information, please contact the instructor

• Description: Explore the wonderful world of pastels. Pastels are a vivid, messy media. In Session I we will learn the basics of pastel, plus an introduction to basic color theory, along with some fun tips and tricks. While in Session II, we will combine pastel with other media, and work on some more advanced techniques. You must attend Session I in order to attend Session II. Skill level: basic: No prior experience needed. Small group instruction. Includes all supplies; please bring an apron or smock. For more information, contact the instructor.
