creative writing. The “There Be Dragons course” is for creatively and
artistically gifted students. Students will study dragons and related mythology
and folklore and then write and illustrate their own myths and folk tales. The
instructor has a M.Ed. in Gifted Studies, and specializes in small group
instruction.

taking this class will learn some basic drawing techniques plus cool tips and
tricks. Each student will be encouraged to develop his or her own anime
characters and unique style of drawing. Skill Level: Intermediate (prior

Fall 2014 Exhibition "Pencils and Paint II"
Brenden Designs is proud to announce its Fall 2014 Exhibition, “Pencils and Paint II”.
This gallery show features the art work of ten young artists who attended my classes this term. The show will open Monday, October 27th at 5 pm and run until Friday, October 31 at 6 pm in Studio Two. There will also be a display of current home school students' work as well.

• Description: Do you have a gifted or talented child that struggles with everyday tasks like finishing homework, putting away toys, or following instructions at school? Your child might also have trouble coping with disappointment or managing anger. We will employ strategies and techniques from the Smart but Scattered: "Executive Skills" Approach. Art projects and other activities will also be included. The instructor has a M.Ed. in Gifted Studies.

• Description: Learn how to take the next step to make your paintings shine. We will be covering perspective, composition and texture. We will also discuss intermediate color theory and brushstrokes. Students taking this class will learn some basic drawing techniques plus cool tips and tricks. Each student will be encouraged to develop his or her own anime characters and unique style of drawing. Skill Level, Intermediate: Prior drawing experience preferred. Small group instruction.

This gallery show features the art work of sixteen artists, ranging ages 7 to adult from three group classes, and current private/semi-private students. The show will open Monday, May 19th at 3 pm and run until May 23rd at 2 pm.

encouraged to develop his or her own anime/manga characters and unique style of
drawing. Skill Level, Intermediate: Student needs prior drawing experience.

Illustration Geeks

club• Description: Are you into anime and manga, or are comic books your thing? Are you crazy for all things Japanese? Do you want to meet other kids who are totally into fandom too? If so, then we WANT YOU! Join the Illustration Geeks! There will be guest speakers, workshops, special events and more. While most things will be free; there will be a small charge for some special events. Come and see what all the buzz is about!
