~ PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS ~

Private & Semi-Private Art Lessons

• Type of class: fine art

• Description: Artist and educator Laurie Brenden offers private and semi-private art lessons in the fine arts including watercolors, drawing, mixed media and much more. A private lesson is for one student. Semi-private lessons are for two students; the students can be siblings, family members, friends, etc. These lessons are available by appointment only and spaces are limited! Please contact the instructor directly for more information or to sign up.

• Ages: 6 years to adult

• Class Term: 3/20 – 5/19

• Day & Time: by appointment ONLY!

• Class fee: Private -> $90.00 for lessons (6, 1 hour sessions) plus $20.00 for supplies; Semi-Private -> $66.00 for lessons (6, 1 hour sessions) plus $20.00 for supplies per student (*Supply fee depends on media and unit chosen.)

Private Reading & Writing Instruction

• Type of class: tutoring/private instruction

• Description: Is your child struggling with grammar, writing or reading comprehension? Work one-on-one with a former English teacher, and a certified Reading Specialist. Content will be individualized to meet your child’s needs. These lessons are available by appointment only, and spaces are limited! ~ KIDS, 8 to 12 ~

Kids Can Draw: Sea Creatures

• Type of class: drawing

• Description: Dive into fun! Learn to draw using simple shapes and proportion. Learn to
draw sea creatures including: sharks, whales, turtles, dolphins and more.
All supplies will be included. Skill level: beginner/intermediate – no prior
experience required. 

• Ages: 8 to 12

• Day & Time: Tuesdays, 3:30 - 5 p.m.

Kids Can Paint: Paint Magic

• Type of class: painting/mixed-media

• Description: Weird and wonderful! Your child can create amazing and unique art with odd and unusual things like salt, bubble wrap and vegetables. We will learn fun techniques including stenciling, sponging, color combing and more. Plus, cool tips and tricks that make painting exciting and fun. All supplies will be included. Skill level: beginner/intermediate – no prior experience required.

Anime Drawing: Chilling with Chibis

• Type of class: drawing

• Description: Manga is a Japanese style of comics. One popular aspect of manga are the Chibis. Chibis are the super-popular, cute, tiny people of manga. Each student will be encouraged to develop his or her own anime/manga characters and unique style of drawing. Skill level: beginner/intermediate – no prior experience required. Small group instruction. All supplies will be included

Teens Can Draw: Drawing Challenges Workshop

• Type of class: drawing

• Description:Challenge your teen during the spring with this series of graphite workshops. Take one or take them all. We will be covering hands, feet and other tricky drawing queries. Skill level: intermediate/advanced – prior drawing experience preferred. All supplies are included. Sign up for all four courses and save $8. WORKSHOP TOPICS: 3/31 Handsome Hands, 4/14 Fleet Feet, 4/28 Puzzling Portraits, & 5/12 Heavenly Hair.

~ ADULTS ~

Adult Drawing Studio

• Type of class: drawing

• Description: Discover the wonderful world of art. Explore art in a small group setting with other adults. We will cover the basics of drawing and shading with graphite pencils. Already familiar with graphite? Learn how to sharpen your skills. Everyone will provide their own materials after the first class. Please contact the instructor for a supply list. Skill Level: basic/intermediate – no prior experience needed.

• Ages: 17+

• SESSION I/ AFTERNOON: Wednesdays, 3/22 – 5/10 from 1- 3 p.m.

• SESSION II/ EVENING: Thursdays, 3/23 – 5/11 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m

Brenden Designs - Custom art work, mural painting, and art instruction
