Classes for Summer 2015

~ CLASSES FOR SUMMER 2015 ~

New classes that I’m offering this quarter include: KCD: Intermediate Boot Camp; KCP: Imagination Station & all Teens Extreme classes.

Classes are held at: The Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) (334) 501-2963 unless otherwise noted!
You MUST register by calling or going by: The Harris Center (334) 501-2930; hours: M-F 8 to 5 pm
Registration Dates: May 4 to May 29, 2015
Class Term: May 26 to July 31, 2015

WARNING: Due to my limited class sizes, my summer classes often fill up early.  Please register early!

~ PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE ART LESSONS ~

• Type of class: private & semi-private art lessons
• Description: Artist and educator, Laurie Brenden offers private and semi-private art lessons in addition to her group classes each quarter. A private lesson is for one student. Semi-private lessons are for two students; the students can be siblings, family members, friends, etc. These lessons are available by appointment only and spaces are limited! Please contact her directly for more information or to sign up for private art lessons. 
• Ages: 6 years to adult
• Class Term: May 26 to July 31, 2015
• Day & Time: by appointment ONLY! 
• Class fee: Private -> $80.00 for lessons (6, 1 hour sessions) plus $20.00 for supplies; Semi-Private -> $60.00 for lessons (6, 1 hour sessions) plus $20.00 for supplies per student (* Supply fee depends on media and unit chosen.)

 

~ KIDS CAN DRAW ~

• Type of class: drawing

• Description: Anyone can draw!  During the summer, come to fun and interesting drawing lessons.  A different topic will be covered each week.  The Basic Drawing Boot Camp is recommended before attending other classes.  All courses in this section are

Skill Level, Basic: no prior experience is needed.  Small class sizes and all supplies

are included.

• Ages: 8-12

• Type of class: mixed-media/painting

• Description: Student will make cool painting projects during these three day painting sessions.  Students will learn basic painting techniques while being encouraged to

explore their creativity. All courses in this section are Skill Level, Basic: no prior experience is needed.  Small class sizes and all supplies are included.

• Ages: 8-12

~ TEENS EXTREME ~

• Type of class: drawing

• Description: These new drawing classes will provide a summer drawing challenge to your teen.  A different topic will be covered each week.  Students taking these classes will learn basic/intermediate drawing techniques plus tips and tricks.  All courses in this section are Skill Level, Intermediate: Prior drawing experience is preferred.  Small class sizes and all supplies are included.

~ Illustration Geeks Fan Club ~

• Type of class: fan club

• Description: For the summer, the Geeks will be diving head first into anime movie madness!  We will meet four times to watch an animated masterpiece.  Join us for all the fun!

• Ages: 10-17

• Dates/Time: Friday 05/29, 06/26, 07/17 & 07/31 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm

• Cost: $5.00 club fees
