~ KIDS, 8 to 12 ~

Kids Can Draw: Pets
• Type of class: drawing + some mixed media
• Description: Everyone loves their pets! Learn to draw animals using simple shapes and proportions. We will cover cats, dogs, guinea pigs, parakeets, mice and more. Skill Level, Beginner/Intermediate: No prior experience required. Small group instruction. All supplies are included.
*COVID-19 Note: Instructor will implement social distancing by asking students to work six feet apart.  No materials may be shared. Instructor will encourage the wearing of masks and proper hand washing and sanitizing techniques.

~ TEENS, 11 to 17 ~

Anime Drawing: Manga People
• Type of class: drawing + some mixed media
• Description: Manga is a Japanese style of comics. In this class we will learn how to draw rocking boys, and cool girls.  Each student will be encouraged to develop his or her own anime/manga characters, and unique style of
drawing. Small group instruction. Skill Level, Intermediate: Prior drawing experience preferred. All supplies are included.

Exploring the Elements of Design Through Drawing
• Type of class: drawing
• Description: Do you want to learn more about the elements of design? This is a lecture-type class where we will be learning about each of the elements of design, and how they relate to each other. There will be activities and exercises to complete each week at home. Skill Level, Beginner/Intermediate: No prior experience required. Small group instruction. ** No supplies are included; a supply list will be provided prior to the first class.

Register for Private Art Lessons for Summer 2021

~ PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS ~

Private & Semi-Private Art Lessons

• Type of class: fine art

• Description: Artist and educator Laurie Brenden offers private and semi-private art lessons in the fine arts including watercolors, drawing, mixed media and much more. A private lesson is for one student. Semi-private lessons are for two students; the students can be siblings, family members, friends, etc. These lessons are available by appointment only and spaces are limited!

Pop Up Class

Kids Can Draw: Tiny Toons

• Description: They’re fierce, and full of attitude. Come draw some terrific tiny cartoons with Miss Laurie! We will be drawing using an exaggerated style, and each child will be encouraged to develop his/her own characters. Skill Level, Basic: No prior experience required. Small group instruction. All supplies are included.
