Private & Semi-Private Art Lessons
• Type of class: fine art
• Description: Artist and educator Laurie Brenden offers private and semi-private art lessons in the fine arts including watercolors, drawing, mixed media and much more. A private lesson is for one student. Semi-private lessons are for two students; the students can be siblings, family members, friends, etc. These lessons are available by appointment only and spaces are limited! Kids Can Draw: Dinosaurs
• Type of class: drawing
• Description: Dig into prehistoric fun!  Dinosaurs are wonderful to draw because they have lots of teeth, claws, horns, and armor. Learn to draw using simple shapes and proportion.  We will draw dinosaurs including: Lambeosaurus, Polacanthus, Tyrannosaurus, and more.  Skill Level, Beginner/Intermediate:  No prior experience required.  Small group instruction. All supplies are included.

~ TEENS, 12 to 18 ~
Teens Can Paint: Basic Watercolor
• Type of class: painting
• Description: Discover the wonderful world of watercolors!  Explore art in a small group setting with other teens. We will have an introduction to basic color theory, discuss brush strokes, washes and more.  Come learn how to paint using watercolors plus some fun tips and tricks.  Skill Level, Beginner/Intermediate:  No prior experience required.  Small group instruction. All supplies are included.• Ages: 12 -17 years old
• Dates: January 24 to March 7, 2018
• Day & Time: Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 pm

Amazing Animorphs
• Type of class: drawing
• Description: Animorphs are anthropomorphic beings, which are animals with human characteristics.  These beasts have fascinated artists going back thousands of years.  Learn how to draw a range of these creatures in a range of styles including cute and furry to glamorous and cool to occult and fantasy.   Each student will be encouraged to develop his or her own anthropomorphic characters and unique style of drawing.  Skill Level, Beginner/Intermediate:  No prior experience required.  Small group instruction. All supplies are included.

• Description: Learn how to draw fantastic cartoons using basic geometric shapes. Then, we will up the ante by learning about special effects, emotions, and costumes. By the end of the quarter, each student will have created their own unique character and comic strip. Small group instruction. Skill Level: Basic. No prior experience required. All supplies will be included.

Kids Can Paint: Surrealism

• Type of class: painting/mixed media

• Description: Surrealism is strange and sometimes silly art that explores dreams and the world of imagination! In this class students will explore the artwork of six 

famous artists. They then will use these artists and their works as a springboard to explore art and their own creativity. Each artist will have an “inspiration” piece based on their style, use of color, etc. However, each student will be encouraged to explore his or her own artistic style. Small group instruction. Skill Level, Basic: No prior experience needed. All supplies are included.

• Description: Manga is a Japanese style of comics. In this class, we will learn how to draw rocking boys and cool girls. Each student will be encouraged to develop his or her own anime/manga characters and unique style of drawing. Small group instruction. Skill level: Intermediate. Student needs prior experience. All supplies will be included.

The focus will be on inspiration, imagination, and delving into art and creativity. Skill level: Basic/ Intermediate. No prior experience required. All supplies are included.

• Description: Smash through the summer with this series of graphite workshops! Everyone must take the Teens Basic Drawing Boot Camp course; then take all the other courses, or pick and choose. We will be covering hands, feet and other tricky drawing queries. All courses in this section are skill level, intermediate/advanced: Prior drawing experience preferred. All supplies are included. Sign up for all five teen workshops and save $8!

• Description: Weird and wonderful! Your child can create amazing and unique art with odd and unusual things like salt, bubble wrap and vegetables. We will learn fun techniques including stenciling, sponging, color combing and more. Plus, cool tips and tricks that make painting exciting and fun. All supplies will be included.
