~ PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS ~
Private & Semi-Private Art Lessons• Type of class: fine art
• Description: Artist and educator Laurie Brenden offers private and semi-private art lessons in the fine arts including watercolors, drawing, mixed media and much more. A private lesson is for one student. Semi-private lessons are for two students; the students can be siblings, family members, friends, etc. These lessons are available by appointment only and spaces are limited! Please contact the instructor directly for more information or to sign up.
• Ages: 6 years to adult
• Class Term: 9/15-11/3
• Day & Time: by appointment ONLY!
• Class fee: Private -> $90.00 for lessons (6, 1 hour sessions) plus $20.00 for supplies; Semi-Private -> $66.00 for lessons (6, 1 hour sessions) plus $20.00 for supplies per student (*Supply fee depends on media and unit chosen.)
~ KIDS, 8 to 12 ~
Kids Can Draw: Cartoons• Type of class: drawing
• Description: Learn how to draw fantastic cartoons using basic geometric shapes. Then, we will up the ante by learning about special effects, emotions, and costumes. By the end of the quarter, each student will have created their own unique character and comic strip. Small group instruction. Skill Level: Basic. No prior experience required. All supplies will be included.
• Ages: 8 - 12 years old
• Dates: 9/19 – 11/7 (NO CLASS on 10/31)
• Day & Time: Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6:00 pm
• Class fee: $85.00 (includes supplies)
Kids Can Paint: Surrealism
• Type of class: painting/mixed media
• Description: Surrealism is strange and sometimes silly art that explores dreams and the world of imagination! In this class students will explore the artwork of six
famous artists. They then will use these artists and their works as a springboard to explore art and their own creativity. Each artist will have an “inspiration” piece based on their style, use of color, etc. However, each student will be encouraged to explore his or her own artistic style. Small group instruction. Skill Level, Basic: No prior experience needed. All supplies are included.

~ TEENS, 12 to 18 ~
Anime Drawing: Manga People• Type of class: drawing
• Description: Manga is a Japanese style of comics. In this class, we will learn how to draw rocking boys and cool girls. Each student will be encouraged to develop his or her own anime/manga characters and unique style of drawing. Small group instruction. Skill level: Intermediate. Student needs prior experience. All supplies will be included.

~ ADULTS ~
Adult Studio: Exploring Art and Creativity• Type of class: painting/mixed media
• Description: Stretch your mind and your
vision! Explore the wonderful world of art in a small group setting with other adults. You will be exposed to a variety of media, and we will explore their uses. The focus will be on inspiration, imagination, and delving into art and creativity. Skill level: Basic/ Intermediate. No prior experience required. All supplies are included.

• Day & Time: Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
