Summer 2018 Classes Announced

~ CLASSES FOR SUMMER 2018 ANNOUNCED ~

I am pleased to announce what classes I submitted to teach during the Summer 2018 quarter at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center in Auburn, Alabama.  I had to submit my classes by 5 pm on February 9th, and they still have to be approved and added to the schedule.  Please check back closer to the Summer quarter for the finalized version.

~ PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS ~
Private & Semi-Private Art Lessons
• Type of class: fine art
• Description: Artist and educator Laurie Brenden offers private and semi-private art lessons in the fine arts including watercolors, drawing, mixed media and much more. A private lesson is for one student. Semi-private lessons are for two students; the students can be siblings, family members, friends, etc. These lessons are available by appointment only and spaces are limited! Please contact the instructor directly for more information or to sign up.
• Ages: 6 years to adult
• Class Term: March 26 to May 18, 2018
• Day & Time: by appointment ONLY!
• Class fee: Private -> $90.00 for lessons (6, 1 hour sessions) plus $20.00 for supplies; Semi-Private -> $66.00 for lessons (6, 1 hour sessions) plus $20.00 for supplies per student (*Supply fee depends on media and unit chosen.)

~ KIDS, 8 to 12 ~
Kids Can Draw
• Type of class: drawing
• Description: Anyone can learn to draw! During the summer come to fun, and interesting drawing lessons with a different topic offered each session. The Basic Drawing Boot Camp course is recommended before attending other classes. All courses in this section are Skill Level, Basic: No prior experience is needed.  Small group instruction. All supplies are included.  Sign up for ANY 3 Kids Can Draw classes, and save $25.00!

4) Insects, TWRF 7/10/18 - 7/13/18 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, $45.00
5) Dinosaurs, TWRF 7/17/18 - 7/20/18 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, $45.00
6) Cartoon Animals, TWRF 7/24/18 - 7/27/18 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, $45.00
7) Cartoon People, TWRF 7/31/18 - 8/03/18 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, $45.00

~ YOUNG ADULTS/ADULTS, 15+ ~
Drawing Challenges Workshops
• Type of class: drawing
• Description: Challenge yourself with this series of realistic graphite drawing workshops!  We will be covering hands, feet, and other tricky drawing queries. Students will learn shading, blending, and other techniques used to draw All courses in this section are: Skill Level, Intermediate/Advanced: Prior drawing experience preferred. Small group instruction.  All supplies are included.
